A tag is reissued every cycle. Its identity isn't.
Every garment we Klean gets a Garment ID — a persistent identity that carries its full Kleaning history for as long as you own it. The physical tag on the garment is what carries that ID between hub and hand, and a fresh one is applied each cycle. The tag is disposable. The identity is not.
Durability was the wrong problem to solve.
A tag that had to survive repeated washing indefinitely would need to be an expensive, laundry-grade material — or it would fail silently, mid-cycle, exactly when it matters most. Re-associating a fresh tag to the same Garment ID every cycle is both more reliable and lower-cost, without weakening the identity it represents.
Nothing on the physical tag identifies you personally — it carries only a code that resolves to your Garment ID through our secure systems, never anything else.
Every scan and Kleaning cycle for a garment builds its own history — how many times it's been Kleaned, and when it was last processed.
The same re-association model that tracks your shirt is what lets a hotel or hospital track hundreds of uniforms without losing any of them.
